All current Air Force employees who are identified as International Affairs Workforce employees are encouraged to apply for International Affairs Certification. The Air Force IA Certification Review Board will meet three times per year to review and endorse applications. *Please Note: Certifications may be conferred upon U.S. Government employees only.Contractors are not eligible for formal certification.

All applications must be entirely complete, including descriptions of the employee's experience, education, and training, and be accompanied by all appropriate supporting documentation necessary to confirm completion of the applicable requirements. The certification application must be approved electronically by the employee's supervisor, ensuring that all requirements for the recommended career level (i.e., Level I, II, or III) have been satisfactorily completed.
