Gen. Adrian L. Spain, commander of Air Combat Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Jeremy Unterseher, ACC command chief, completed a multi-day visit to three key air bases in the Middle East this week.

The tour focused on assessing operational readiness, reinforcing the strategic importance of the region, and recognizing the vital role Airmen play in maintaining stability and security.

During their engagements with the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, the 378th AEW and the 332nd AEW, the team immersed themselves in the daily operations of each location, observing base operations, engaging with Airmen, and examining critical areas impacting the unit's mission. Discussions with the wings’ command teams centered on maintaining a potent and agile warfighting force capable of meeting evolving threats.

“Returning to CENTCOM has been a great reminder that nothing remains static here…the dynamism in the region is palpable as are the consequences of mission failure.  Our Airmen throughout the AOR are rising to the task in terms of excellence in their air operations as well as superb base support and partner integration.  Unbelievably proud of the way the teams are leading and executing.”

During his visit, Unterseher emphasized the Air Force's crucial role in bolstering key relationships.

“This is a high performing, innovative team,” said Unterseher. “Watching them sustain combat operations and enable joint and coalition force protections is a sight to see”

The immersion aligned with CENTCOM's priorities, emphasizing the lethality and readiness of U.S. forces in the region, and deterring adversaries alongside coalition partners, contributing to overall regional stability.
