U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa will participate in the Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 at Royal Air Force Fairford, England, July 18-20.

RIAT is the world’s largest international airshow, with over 160 aircraft from more than 26 countries scheduled to attend. The operational theme for 2025 is “Eyes in the Skies,” which highlights the vital role aviation plays across domains of aerial surveying, airborne early warning, maritime patrol, search and rescue, reconnaissance, signals intelligence and surveillance.

USAFE-AFAFRICA will send F-35A Lightning II and F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft from the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, England. Other featured U.S. Air Force aircraft for this year’s theme include the U-2S Dragon Lady from the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale Air Force Base, California, and the RC-135V/W Rivet Joint, 55th Wing, Offutt AFB, Nebraska. In addition to these U.S. aircraft, other aircraft from around the world which have been modified and adapted for use on these specialized missions will also participate.

U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, Air Force Global Strike Command, the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and U.S. Army will feature static aircraft, including the U.S. Army AH-64E Apache Guardian from the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, Katterbach Army Airfield, Germany; a KC-46A Pegasus from the 108th Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey; a KC-135R Stratotanker from 100th Air Refueling Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England; a C-21A Learjet from the 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany; a C-5M Super Galaxy from the 439th AW, Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts; an MC-130J Commando II from the 352d Special Operations Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England; and a B-1B Lancer from the 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota.

Continued U.S. military involvement in events like RIAT helps remove barriers and foster a sense of solidarity with allied and partner nation militaries and publics. The interaction and exchanges U.S. Airmen have with allies and partners at RIAT enables them to learn from and leverage the strengths of other nations while also demonstrating U.S. commitment to European security.
