GREENVILLE, S.C., -- The F-16 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Bahrain team at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, celebrated the first Bahrain F-16 Block 70 aircraft to roll off the newly operational Lockheed Martin production line, during a March 10 ceremony in Greenville, S.C.

“This strategically significant event in aeronautics and foreign relations would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the many stakeholders committed to the success of this program,” Col. Edward Wagner, the Senior Materiel Leader for F-16 FMS, whose team is leading the effort to deliver the aircraft to Bahrain. “The F-16 is a phenomenal aircraft, and the Block 70 upgrade will bring increased capability to the Royal Bahraini Air Force.”

The aircraft successfully ferried from Greenville, to Edwards Air Force Base, California, a major milestone for the team as they prepare for flight test.
