Two U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II aircraft assigned to Vermont Air National Guard’s 158th Fighter Squadron and two KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing currently operating out of Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, will conduct low approach flyovers over the Baltic Sea region scheduled to take place June 16.

The purpose of each flyover is to demonstrate U.S. commitment and assurance to NATO Baltic Allies and partners. Additionally, this will provide citizens an opportunity to take photos, videos, and simply enjoy the aircraft flying overhead.

The flyovers are scheduled to take place over Vilnius, Lithuania; Riga, Latvia; and Tallinn, Estonia.

"This summer, we mark the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.” said Gen. Jeff Harrigian, U.S. Air Force in Europe – Air Forces Africa commander. “We have a strong history of working side by side with our Baltic Allies, and we look forward to an even stronger one in the future."

One day prior to the event USAFE-AFAFRICA will provide a detailed list of exact locations where the aircraft will be viewable as well as a one hour timeframe in which to view the aircraft.

Please note these fly-bys may be cancelled at any time due to weather, or other mission requirements with little to no notice.
