Dover AFB reinforces NATO alliance with Turkey

Airmen from the 436th Aerial Port Squadron supported a foreign military sales mission with the Turkish air force at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, on Feb. 22, 2021.

The U.S.-Turkey alliance is based on mutual interests and respect and is focused on areas such as regional security, stability, and economic cooperation. Turkey has proved to be a key NATO ally, is an important regional partner for the United States, and plays a critical role in allied force projection as NATO’s vital eastern anchor.

Due to its strategic geographic location, Dover AFB supports approximately $3.5 billion worth of foreign military sales operations annually.
