SAF/IAP Senior Leadership

SAF/IAP

The Policy, Programs and Strategy Directorate of SAF/IA enables the DAF security cooperation enterprise to align, integrate, and synchronize planning of programs and activities; conducts technical and operational weapon system analysis to support export of combat-credible capabilities; manages International Airmen and Guardians programs such as personnel exchanges and Foreign Area Officers; supports international training and education opportunities; and develops and negotiates international armaments cooperation agreements.

SAF/IAPA

The International Airmen Division prepares and places internationally-skilled Airmen by providing executive oversight and management of the International Affairs Specialist Program (Foreign Area Officer – FAO, and Pol-Mil Affairs Strategist – PAS), US Air Force Air Attaché Program, Military Personnel Exchange Program, Security Cooperation Office personnel, and Overseas Developmental Education.

SAF/IAPC

The International Armaments Cooperation Division develops and enhances international relationships through strategic cooperative partnerships that leverage global expertise and resources to improve US and partner defense capabilities and interoperability. 

Additionally, the Division manages US Air Force participation in the International Cooperative Research and Development Program, the Coalition Warfare Program, the Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program, the Administrative Professionals Exchange Program, and the Foreign Comparative Test Program. 

SAF/IAPD

The Foreign Disclosure and Technology Transfer Division provides SAF/IA, the Department of the Air Force, and the US Security Cooperation Enterprise with timely and accurate disclosure and technology transfer expertise and guidance. The Division develops and maintains well-researched and coordinated positions on US export policy that build lasting international partnerships and protect the US warfighting advantage.

SAF/IAPG

The Space Division creates, advocates for, and facilitates Department of the Air Force and US Space Force space security cooperation policies and programs that advance US national security objectives through pol-mil affairs, cooperative research and development, acquisition, and foreign military sales. It enables access to information, systems, and education and training that delivers enhanced operational capabilities to allies, partners, and coalition warfighters.

SAF/IAPI

The Information and Integration Division works to advance efficient and effective Department of the Air Force operations by supporting technology capabilities that enable our Airmen, Guardians and foreign partners to meet mission demands. 

SAF/IAPR

The Programming and Resources Division provides a corporate focus on the sound management of financial, human capital, and information technology resources in direct support of the SAF/IA mission.

SAF/IAPS

The Strategy and Plans Division expertly guides the DAF Security Cooperation community using strategy-driven & evidenced-based tools, planning, and resources.

SAF/IAPW

The Weapons Division provides SAF/IA, the Department of the Air Force, and the US Security Cooperation Enterprise timely and accurate technology transfer and weapons system expertise and guidance, while developing and maintaining well-researched and coordinated positions on US export policy that build lasting international partnerships and protect the US warfighting advantage.

SAF/IAPX

The Security Assistance Policy and International Training Education Division develops, coordinates, and implements policy that optimizes US Air Force security assistance programs for meeting US foreign policy objectives. The Division projects, programs, and preserves international training and education opportunities that build, sustain, and expand international partner capacity.
