  • B-52H Bomber Missions Begin at RAF Fairford

    5th Bomb Wing Airmen in support of a long-planned bomber training mission, arrived at RAF Fairford, England on Aug. 24, 2020. The 5th BW enables the demonstration of the U.S. capability to command, control and conduct bomber missions across the globe.
  • Joint, multinational exercise enhances capabilities against near-peer adversaries

    Throughout the week of Aug. 17, 2020, fighter jets, helicopters, a C-130 Hercules and more came together to train in a challenging and ever-changing environment. This was an exercise known as Gunfighter Flag (GFF) 20-1. This exercise leverages the unique airspace of the region to host a large scale employment of aircraft from Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore and Australia, as well as the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army.

  • US demonstrates airpower in Indo-Pacific region with simultaneous bomber missions

    Demonstrating airpower, bomber and fighter aircrew assigned and deployed to Pacific Air Forces launched four B-1 Lancers, two B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers, and four F-15C Eagles and conducted Bomber Task Force missions simultaneously with joint and allied partners within the Indo-Pacific region over the course of 24 hours, August 17.
  • UAE, U.S. Forces Conduct Aviation Live Fire Exercise in Arabian Gulf

    The United Arab Emirates Joint Aviation Command (JAC), U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT), U.S. Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) and U.S. Special Operations Central Command (SOCCENT) conducted an air operations in support of maritime surface warfare (AOMSW) exercise in the Arabian Gulf, Aug. 9-12.

    The U.S. Space Force reached an important milestone by recently signing an agreement to allow sharing of the Standardized Astrodynamics Algorithm Library with the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
  • U.S. and Qatar deliver humanitarian aid to Lebanon

    Donations of nonperishable food items, clothes, diapers, and toiletries were collected by military families and neighbors to benefit the people of Lebanon. U.S. Central Command and the Qatari military coordinated with Lebanese Armed Forces, U.S. Embassy-Beirut and USAID to transport critical supplies to support the needs of the Lebanese people.
