7th AF leadership meets with ROK Minister of National Defense for first USAF visit

Republic of Korea Minister of National Defense Won-sik Shin greets U.S. Lt. Col. Joshua McCullion, US Space Forces Korea commander, during a visit to the 607th Air Operations Center, Osan Air Base, ROK, Nov. 21, 2023. Shin visited the base to inspect its military readiness posture and the combined ROK-U.S. missile defense operations systems, meeting with combined leadership from 7th AF, ROK Air Force Operations Command, and the 607th AOC. The event marked Shin’s first visit to a U.S. Air Force location on the Korean peninsula since he officially took office Oct. 7, and demonstrated the strong relationship 7th Air Force maintains with the ROK AFOC and the U.S.’s ironclad commitment to uphold the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
